When we notice the red, white, and blue contrails, we realized this was part of some air show. Unfortunately, upon arriving at our Bed and Breakfast, we realized that the entire staff was too busy watching the show to check us in. At the show, a historical diplomatic summit was held, as a result of which (if I'm not mistaken), Disarming Smile wound up on The Anarchy and the Ecstasy. I believe Jack's difficult-to-understand banter at Hallowmas 2010 could be deciphered to indicate that the song wound up being partially inspired by the Bierkeller show several nights later. Agnostic Front and H2O both played sets. They strayed from the typical two NYHC themes ("My friends are perfect, and I love them til death" and "I can't believe my friend betrayed me; I never saw it coming") and focused mainly on two other themes: banter claiming not to be focusing on the past but songs almost exclusively about how everything was better in 1995. I was probably the most aggressive person in either pit, which had me pretty concerned that the Republicans had Europeans pretty well pegged. Max was way out of control and got kicked out in brutal fashion, as I'll allow him to describe. Years later, I ran into Alyssa at a Yula show and realized we had met for the first time here. -D¢
