During the show, we befriended two lovely Scots, Dan and Katie. They took us to a bar. Some giant, old dude started hitting on Katie hard and pretty forcefully started dancing with her. I asked if she needed help, and she just laughed at me and said the guy was just being a regular, friendly Glaswegian. And, in fact, she was right. The guy turned out to be very nice and respectful. I had been demanding to be taken to the local Top Hat and Monocle Emporium, but Dan and Katie claimed it was closed for the evening. They said that if we stayed up all night with them, they would take us in the morning. When day finally broke, I demanded some prompt haberdashery, but then they came clean that there was no top hat and monocle store! In all of Glasgow! What a fib! I'm still smarting. -D¢
