Memories
I've been to the Groningen show as well, but have no specific memories about that one. This was different. I didn't want to go because it costed €30. Somebody on the inferno-side arranged a €20 discount. Don't know who it was, but thank you! It was the opening night of this venue.. an old cinema that looks absolutely stunning! The dark side: the muncipality closed down one of my favourite DIY punk/hardcore venues in the Netherlands because it would be “replaced” by this new one. Replacing a 250 capacity diy place by a posh multimillion-euro >1000-capacity concert hall is pretty stupid. That said… The opening had free champagne when you entered! Most of us entered a decent couple of times. This is the only time I wore a suit at a world/inferno show. The view on the movie-screens was way better than in Groningen, the encore was longer and overall I think this was the better show. In Groningen the crowd were interested 18-65 year old theatre lovers, in Arnhem uninterested 30-50 year old muncipality snobs, corporate sponsors and other loudspeaking yups. That would've spoiled the fun if I wasn't so drunk. Oh I stole some beers from the Germans that I still need to repay. I forgot about that. Sorry. - Arno
