- West Dundee is the last suburb between Chicago and Rockford. I met Sam, Tasha and Will at my hotel and we headed out. Sam should have been hungover but wasn't. We got drunk ahead of time in the car in the parking lot. The venue was an old main street theatre that had been turned into a club of sorts. One of the openers was a high school ska band and a lot of the crowd was their friends. You could only drink in the bar area. The stage was at least five feet tall, maybe six. Jack (who apparently found some grey hair spray) and Sandra jumped down in the crowd to dance during “Weimar”. When it was time to get back on stage to finish the song, Jack made it back up somehow. Sandra took one look and realized there was no way she was going to be able to climb it. She started looking around for any way to get back stage in the next thirty seconds. I looked at her and said, “On three….jump! One, two, three!” and hoisted her up by her waist like high school cheerleaders. -Doug G
